New program helps women master personal and professional transitions
Paradise Valley Community College announces a new course offering for professional, executive and entrepreneurial women. It is the first life-coaching program offered by the college.
THE WELLNESS CONNECTION: Mastering Personal and Professional Transitions is designed for women who are ready to master life challenges, improve wellness and embrace change in the workplace and at home, says Monique Rider, instructor and life coach.
Rider developed the program, which employs the Seven Dimensions of Wellness model to guide participants through an assessment of all areas of their lives, and teaches them how to develop strategies to achieve total wellness during stressful times.
Classes will emphasis an integrated approach that includes fitness, nutrition, workplace wellness, stress management and emotional wellness. One-on-one life coaching is available by phone throughout the program.
Rider recommends access to the Internet.
Participants can expect to dramatically improve their job performance, become more confident and decisive, improve problem-solving skills and increase mental and emotional resilience.
Rider owns BodyLife Dynamics, a coaching company founded on the principal of empowering women.
Her program offers a complete, holistic experience, she says. Rider is a published author and contributor to the anthology Ophelia’s Mom. She has over 15 years of business experience in the areas of healthcare, corporate training, teaching, management, administration, and IT management. She has been a certified personal trainer for ten years and a coach for four.
The initial offering of this 10-week program runs from Tuesday, May 30 through August 2. Classes are held at PVCC in Building F (Fitness Center), Room F131. Classes are from 5:30 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. and are open to all interested women. Tuition is $180 (less than $7 per hour) plus books.
For information or to register, call (602) 493-2669.
Paradise Valley Community College is located at 18401 N. 32nd St., (SE Corner of Union Hills and 32nds Street), Phoenix, 85032.
